501 Graphic Design is lifelong artist, freelance designer, and all-around cool guy Aaron Baker. As a child, most of his time was spent drawing; he always requested art pencils, pens, and paint sets for his birthdays. Whether he was at home, in class, or in church, his head was down, putting graphite and ink on paper. His artistic interests grew along with him, and he began to dabble in oil painting and photography, learning concepts of color and space. Aaron has been recognized for his oil paintings and has had his photography featured in regional museums. He even co-founded a graffiti crew during his college years and dabbled in music production, recording independent artists in his home studio for nearly ten years.

Believe it or not, it was music that led to Aaron's decision to pursue graphic design as a career. Someone had to create the covers and packaging for the artists that were produced in his studio, and that responsibility ultimately fell upon his shoulders. In 2004, music was put on the back burner, Aaron sold his studio equipment, and graphic design became Aaron's main focus. Thirty years of art culminated with the official opening of 501 Graphic Design in January of 2009.

FamilyOnly one thing comes before Aaron's love of art: his family. Aaron's beautiful wife and three awesome children have sacrificed quite a lot in support of 501 Graphic Design, and provide more inspiration than you could imagine. Without the understanding and support of his wife and kids, he would be unable to slave day-in and day-out over his computer, learning new techniques in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash. Between school band concerts, bedtime stories, and diaper changes, Aaron is doing what he does best: cooking-up colorful creations to help small businesses grow.
